There will be a High School Girls basketball meeting next Wednesday, April 21st, at 6:00 pm in the high school cafeteria. I ask that any girl who intends on playing next season be present as well as one guardian.

RCHS Assistant Drum Major Julia Blazek visited sixth grade band today! We learned how to conduct the fight song and got to talk a little bit about what band looks like at the high school level. We had a great time, and we might just have an army of drum majors on our hands!

RCHS Art Club had a great time visiting Springdale Art & Nature Center today. We did some exploring, enjoyed some stories, admired some art, learned the secret to limestone carving, started our own limestone carvings, and even went on an hour long hike lead by (82 year old) Piglet herself! What a memorable day!

Mrs. Pierson’s 3rd grade class was the first group of students to explore the new maker space classroom at East Elementary! We’re excited to see what new learning opportunities this space will provide for students.

Kindergarten has been learning about letter Jj and also exploring a travel theme. We talked to Mrs. Strnad's daughter, Sally, in Japan via GoogleMeet on Thursday morning at 8:15, 10:15pm Japan time, to learn about travel in Japan. She also shared how to write each of our names with one of the Japanese alphabets (there are 3!). Following her visit we attempted eating our morning snack with chopsticks, used tissue paper to make a picture of Japanese cherry blossoms, and worked in a booklet about Japan to learn about the flag, money, Mt. Fuji, bullet trains, etc. It was a fun "trip"!
