Education

Educational History:

I graduated from North Central High School in Morrowville, KS in 1992. I attended Cloud County Community College for two years. While there, I obtained an Associate’s Degree. After CCCC, I transferred to Kansas State University where I obtained a B.S. in Secondary Education with an English emphasis. I also secured a Speech and Drama certification. While teaching in Shawnee Mission, I obtained a Master of Arts in Education from Baker University in 2005. After teaching English here at Republic County for 12 years, I went back to Kansas State University and received a Master’s of Science in School Counseling in 2018. I am starting my fourth year as one of the 6-12 counselors here.

My husband Luke and I were married in Clyde, KS in 199. We have two children: Andrew and Emma. They both attend school here at Republic County. We share our home with our dog, Deke and our cat, Smoky.

I am extremely busy following my children in their various activities. In the very little free time I have, I spend it as a volunteer in other organizations such as: Distinguished Young Woman of Kansas and being a leader for the Republic Pioneers 4-H Club. I do enjoy spending time with my extended family and any extra time I get to spend with my friends.
