Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative has a couple of great opportunities available to Sophomores and Juniors that live in the Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative's area. Students can apply to attend the Cooperative Youth Tour Trip to Washington DC or the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp in Steamboat Springs Colorado. These are all expense paid trips, plus participants receive a $500 scholarship once they complete the trip. All sophomores and juniors received an email about this opportunity. East Elementary 5th Graders hosted area Veterans today by inviting them to attend a program at the Blair Center for the Arts and then enjoy a meal at East Elementary. The 5th Graders then performed for the other East Elementary students and the 5th-grade parents, before riding in a float in the Veterans Day Parade in Belleville.
There are many to thank outside of USD 109 for making this a special day for our area Veterans and our 5th-grade students, including the Blair Center for the Arts, Rob Kasl and friends for the meal, and the Belleville Fire Department. The program would not be possible without many dedicated East Elementary staff members, including music teacher Mrs. Pam Gallion, and 5th-grade teachers, Mrs. Connie Reedy, Mrs. Hope Johnson, and Mrs. Karen Miller.

Our amazing Republic County students collaborated with our community to help put up the flags at the courthouse this morning — a great way to start the day and honor the symbol that represents our country and its servicemen and women on this Veterans Day.

Eight students attended the Women in Business Summit hosted by Kansas State. They attended workshops and listened to the keynote speaker, Andrea Albright.
RCHS Buffalo Actor's Guild takes to the stage this week with Clue! Can you solve the mystery? The drama begins Friday, November 14th at 7pm or Saturday, November 15th at 7pm at the Blair Theater. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults.
The Battlin Buffs lose to Hutch Trinity 14-43,in the second round of the Class 1A State Playoffs. WE are so very proud of all of you this year, never easy to lose, but at 8-2 what a turnaround season, Go Buffs!

🎓 Senior Project Shoutout!
With Veterans Day approaching, it’s a perfect time to highlight Senior Gwen Cole, who is making a real difference through her Senior Project focused on improving mental health support for veterans in rural communities. One part of her project includes distributing Charlie Mike Packs—resource kits that help veterans stay connected with the services available to them. She had some help yesterday from her classmates packing around 75 bags full of these resources. She is collaborating with a variety of veteran organizations, one of which is requesting and providing funds to help her create an additional 300 bags to provide these resources.
