State looked very different today, but we had a great time regardless! RCHS forensics had four members participate in champs and one in festival. We had six out of seven pieces break to semi finals with John Price breaking prose and poetry, and Ye Gang Lee and Jaycie Stindt breaking both humorous and serious each. John and Jaycie advanced to finals with John placing 5th in poetry, and 3rd in prose, and Jaycie placed 6th in serious solo. Emma Hubert (not pictured) earned a 1 rating in festival with a great first showing at state. Way to go buffs! ❤️💙❤️💙 All in all: John Price, Ye Gang Lee, Ayden Krohn, Dylan McCartney, Erika Schultz, Jaycie Stindt, and Emma Hubert were all state level qualifiers.

Republic County will have TWO students representing us at the Middle Level All-State Honor Band!! 8 RCJH band students applied, and only 50 from around the state were selected for the group. They will travel to Wichita on July 17th to work with these other musicians and a Grammy award-winning music educator. Go Buffs and go band!!!

Day 2 of Senior Project Presentations is over, and just as we experienced yesterday we were privy to tremendous products and presentations. Tonight was also our Open House for the Senior projects, which our Senior Project Team also believes was a success. We want to thank all members of the community who gave their time and expertise to be part of the first Senior Project Presentation days at Republic County High School. We would also like to thank the parents and members of the community who came to open house tonight to support our Seniors and all the hard work they have put in this year. We would also like to thank our USD 109 board members for granting us the opportunity to implement this project. We would also like to thank the parents of our seniors for their continual support throughout the entire process. Our students experienced great growth and great successes as a result. Another big thanks goes out to our fellow teachers for having constructive discussions with our students and even assisting with some of their projects throughout the year. As a final thanks we would like to show our appreciation for the constant support from our administrators. They provided an environment which allowed us to cultivate an opportunity to allow for a phenomenal amount of growth and exploration for our senior students. Lastly, as we put our finishing touches on Senior Project for the year, we look forward to next year as it will only get better. Our continual growth in this project is what we believe can help set us apart and make our Buff Grads uniquely prepared for college and career. It's a great day to be a Buff. The Senior Project Team
