Holidays are a special time for family and traditions.
RCHS art students completed a heritage assignment during this past semester. I couldn't think of a better time to share this one after my student shared a photo of his Christmas dinner plate with me yesterday!

This assignment focused on exploring our heritage. At first, I struggled to come up with an idea. I tried researching my family history but didn’t find much information. Then I thought about the traditions we share. Every Christmas, we have prime rib and twice-baked potatoes. This tradition started with my grandma, but when she stopped, my dad took over. It’s a special tradition I hope to continue with my own family someday.
