PRESENT
Board Members present were Phillip Poppe, Kevin Milner, Doug Jackson, Kevin Kuhlman, and Mike Hadachek. Also present was acting Board Clerk, Teresa Valek. Guests present as registered.
BOARD MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
At 8:00 p.m., Board President Phillip Poppe called the Board Meeting to order on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Administration Office.
2010 – 2011 BUDGET HEARING REVIEW:
A motion was made by Mike Hadachek, Seconded by Kevin Milner to publish the budget as approved. Motion carried 5-0.
INTERIM SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH:
The board discussed names that were presented from the KASB as well as names of applicants who had submitted their names to the Board President. The board agreed to narrow the search down to 4 names.
Layne Holmes entered the meeting at 9pm.
ADMINISTRATIVE CONTRACTS:
Doug Jackson made a motion to extend Administrative Contracts to Don Westphal and Julie Gottschalk through June 30, 2012. The motion was seconded by Mike Hadachek and the motion carried 6-0.
EXECUTIVE SESSION/PERSONNEL MATTERS FOR NON-ELECTED PERSONNEL
Kevin Kuhlman made a motion to go into Executive Session for 40 minutes, from 9:10pm to 9:50pm, for discussion of non elected personnel. The motion was seconded by Mike Hadachek. Motion carried 6-0.
Those going into executive session were board members, Poppe, Milner, Hadachek, Holmes, Jackson, and Kuhlman.
The board returned to open session at 9:50pm.
Layne Holmes made a motion to return to Executive Session for 5 minutes, from 9:50pm to 9:55pm. The motion was seconded by Mike Hadachek. Motion carried 6-0.
The board returned to open session at 9:55pm.
Board President, Phillip Poppe will contact the 4 names of the individuals who the Board wishes to interview to set up interview times as soon as possible. The names will be released when the interviews are set up.
ADJOURNMENT:
Kevin Milner made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:02pm. The motion was seconded by Layne Holmes. The motion carried 6-0. Meeting was adjourned.
